Welcome to the Lakemont Senior Living family!
With a background in nursing, extensive training in health issues like stroke, heart failure, dementia, Alzheimer, diabetes, and many more, and a vast experience in working with seniors, we made it our mission to offer people a happy and healthy life once they can no longer do that for themselves.
The owner and operator of Lakemont Senior Living has a Masters in Nursing as a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Northwest University and graduated with honors.
Ligia was initiated into the nursing society Sigma Theta Tau thanks to her academic achievements. She also spent a month abroad in Taiwan, practicing nursing from a culturally integrative approach while during her undergraduate studies.
At Lakemont Senior Living we pride ourselves in being the home away from home for all our residents. We offer them independence, freedom, and the ability to do what they are passionate about without having to worry about daily activities such as housekeeping or appointments.
We take care of them and their needs in a caring and compassionate environment. We offer them personalized care, access to numerous activities and hobbies, and the opportunity to interact with a friendly community that will make them feel just like at home.
Don't grow old
We believe that you’re only as old as you feel. It might sound like a cliché, but we stand by it and even studies show that people can feel younger than they are if they stay active, have a purpose, and engage in enticing activities.
At Lakemont Senior Living, we have prepared various activities that will help our seniors stay active and engaged and we keep introducing new ones whenever we feel like they need them or if they request one.
Our culture/methods
We believe in offering our seniors a place where they can enjoy their freedom in a safe, healthy, and happy environment. We want to make a difference in our residents’ lives by offering access to a friendly community, fun activities, and engaging hobbies that will make them stay active.
We offer opportunities for residents to do more of what they love each day. We want to nurture their bodies and minds, which is why offer them access to activities such as exercise, excursion, art, music, community service, spiritual services, all personalized to each individual preference.
Expertise & experience
Our safe and happy environment is also owed to our dedicated and loving staff.
Trained extensively in stroke care, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, atrial fibrillation, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease with behaviors, fall risk, diabetes management, mental health, memory care, Parkinson’s disease, we make sure that all our residents’ needs are met on a personal level.
Feels like home
Our mission is to make the residents living in our senior living home feel like home and like they are part of a family and an amazing community. We also make sure that our residents enjoy their freedom and that they are happy and healthy both physically and mentally.
We do this through daily and weekly activities, involvement in the community, and personalized care done by trained staff.
In addition, we ensure that the residents keep in touch with their families and that their loved ones know everything that’s going on with their relatives.
